Doug and I had a great time visiting you two! You two look fantastic and still spunky, as usual.
Our drive down and back had us in a deep discussion about buying a plane. If the costs are feasible and usage makes sense, it's on the table. Buying a plane is pretty easy, and you don't have to buy "new," but the most prominent investment is the updated electronics installed in the plane.
Naturally, we've put that in the "bucket" of Doug's "I wish I had..." which currently includes a 40'+ sailboat, a plane, and expanding his current home with an extension.
It was nice to divide the 9.5-hour drive into two days today—five hours or so from GA to Roanoke, VA, yesterday and the remaining 3.5 hours to Ashburn.
We stopped by a local zoo near the Natural Bridge in Virginia- only because I had to PEE, and they required you to pay to access the toilets. So why not?! It was a fun little zoo with some fierce animals.
The drive around Dacula was particularly disappointing. Over the years, the lack of zoning and growth control left it with a hodgepodge of homes and communities, plus poor design and flow.
Many builders have approached the Frizzelles, offering to purchase their land to build yet another independent neighborhood. I suspect they eventually will when the time is right.

Downtown Roanoke
En route to our hotel in Troutville, VA, just north of Roanoke, we stopped by Roanoke for a quick bite to eat. Doug had Chicken Wings and beer, and I had a Vodka Tonic. It was great chatting with the guy behind us who loves and lives here.

I'm a fan fav of this coffee shop and their breakfasts. Super service and a nice vibe.
